As thick as that looks, may take an 8 hour day to do so . Getting it chemically dipped is a fast and cheap process. Cost $40 a wheel for me.

stripping only took about 25 min maybe? it only takes about 30sec for the stripper to start working. 3 min probably for it to eat up the paint

Drilling/tapping your baffles is no biggie at all if you have a press handy. Honestly took under an hour to do the whole thing. You just have to be precise.
