I wanted the RS...my wife wanted power windows. She knows our Evo will be full drag in a few years.

But hey at least your wife let you get the EVO though Yea I prolly should have bought the RS 4 years ago instead of a GSR. Lighter from the beginning, No ABS, Power ETC. Would have been pretty nice these last couple years after the car became more of a race car. But oh well, the RS is a fun car to drive. I have a feeling in good shape IX RS's they will be worth a lot someday since there were only 358 made in 2006.

This is our second Evo--we first had a 2006 Evo IX SE. Bought it brand new. I blew the engine last May or so.

As I mentioned to you in another thread (and via PM), we are doing a full build this summer. A/C, ABS, brake booster, ACD and EGR system are just a few things being initially removed. A few years down the road it will become a full drag car and will be similar to yours.

Do you still have your IX SE? I blew my motor a couple years after owning the black car. I bought it used with 45K miles on it though. I put a hole right through the block. I was running a FP Red on bolts on running 10.50s. First track day to try to better that time, first pass the car blew up in 3rd gear lol

Can't wait to see more updates on your new build man. Are you going to be making a build thread?

We parted out and then sold our IX shortly after I blew the engine. In hindsight I wish we would have just kept it and did the build we are going to do with our new one. I will be making a build thread once I've sealed the deal with the shop that's doing the build. Don't wanna get ahead of myself as anything can happen between now and summer.

Only had a partial tune and my dumbass decided to drive it hard one night. Ended up going lean in cylinder #2, melted the piston and put a deep gouge in the cylinder wall.

This past Friday night we finally got some snow in Chicagoland area. I would say we got 3-4" inches of snow. Which has been the most in prolly about a year lol. My buddy and I took our cars out for a couple snaps. But of course both being idiots we left the camera back at home so all we had was our Iphones lol

My buddy has a EVO X. I am still on my RPF1's with the Hancook summer tires. It went through the snow but not as good as the Blizzaks on the X of course. Here's a few pics of my car. Nothing too crazy. I have more ill upload real soon.
