Damn, not messing around! I always thought Foaming the frame was complicated as it usually solidified before spreading all across the frame?

Sub'd!

self mixing foam was tricky to time correctly. you only get 20 seconds to mix. then another 20 to pour it. pouring into small opening proved quite challenging. the foam expanded nicely. and just tape was enough to stop it from popping out everywhere. very time consuming to do it the way I did. self mixing foam would be way easier to do, but at about 10 times more expensive.

got roof glued on today. just about ready to start painting things.

Nice thread. I need to re roof mine also but was thinking of trying to build one from carbon fiber.

Can you provide more info. on your intercooler setup? Space is pretty tight behind the E1 bumper but it seems that you were able to fit something pretty substantial without shaving the bumper.

the current core is xs engineering. like 2.9 thick. I have garret 3.5 core but it wouldnt fit with out trimming bumper some.

roof skin was ~12lbs . wouldnt be huge savings making one from carbon. but would look cool.

snagged some lightweight rotors (-10lbs) from ebay on the cheap. rotor is same size as whats on the car 11.5". not sure of the quality but bolt pattern is same as wilwood. so I can choose some better rotors if need be, car was locking brakes on 11'' rotor so this should work fine. picked some wilwood GMIII calipers at just under 4lbs each. for another 10lbs saved. if all goes as planned we should be laying color on sunday.

got the jams painted today. came out fantastic considering they were shot outside. no wind and no bugs. rented a booth for sunday morning to shoot rest of the car.

Looks great... Any chance you want to sell those CE28n's or trade for another set of mint bronze 4 lug TE37's

while I do like bronze te37 more than anything out there, I do like my ce28s. I like being able to swap back and forth with tire changes.

I thought I would wait five days before touching car. but that didnt happen. spent 12 hours assembling the tail lights and trunk. the letters on tails were shaved so no wax can collect. the last picture better catches what the color actually is. this color is a roll over color. depending on lighting and angles it can look blue or purple or in between or both at same time.. the purple element of the paint disappears in photos. the color should be called blurple. its blue 50% of time, 25% purple, and other 25% its somewhere in between. now I know why paint was so pricey and not made in cheaper lines. the test we mixed up in diamont did not flip flop. its was just blue.
