I liked the Bilsteins enough when I had them on my Evo that I put them on my DD. Good drop, nice and reliable and the build quality is excellent. Hell, the front strut shaft was almost twice the diameter OEM "sport" suspension. Just put them in and forget about it. No camber plates. No other suspension **** to worry about. Easy breezy.

Jerry,

How do you like those plastic idler pullies? Was wondering how much of a difference they would make on my build, but maybe the Gates/Mitsu ones will last longer. I like to put stuff on and forget about it.

I like the pulleys. mostly because they are quiet. they absorb more noise than steel. makes it easier to hear more important engine sounds. I lightened all the pulleys and the alternator at same time. so it lost 4lbs of pulley rotating mass. I switched from 65mm htagreen to the red at same time. felt zero loss in response. really need to take some time to make some videos of the car. it will be getting more mods in the fall.

Do you have links to the part numbers? Still have concerns about longevity? (30,000 miles vs. potentially 100,000+).

I have an aluminum alt pulley and an aluminum water pump pulley. Liked the looks of the plastic ones you have.

Thanks Jerry

hello, folks. this car will be up for sale in near future. I no longer wrench on cars on a regular basis. this car is iconic. it will not be cheap. but worth every penny.
