Love that colour or color where you live - looks great, can't wait to see the finished project.

was at junk yard today with my scale looking for some light weight seats. no luck so far. but did find cool plastic spare tire cover that saves almost 2lbs. cost 6$. wish I could do that 100 more times. car will be buffed this weekend. cant wait to see it shiny again after wet sanding for a week.

After a crazy amount of research I made a seat purchase. I decided I didnt want to sacrifice comfort by using a fixed seat. I took my sparco roadster out of my yellow car and weighed it. its a 15.5lb seat from factory. but with slider and mount brackets the seats weigh 24.5lbs. I played with adding padding and they can definitely be made more comfy. but it is no where near as comfy as factory recaro. and pretty difficult to get out of. for the most part the lightest aftermarket reclining seat I could find are the cobra misano at 24lbs. but pricey new. and by the time its in the car with sliders and brackets it gonna be at 32lbs. I think there are some ebay seats that weigh 23lbs. but found far too much feedback of the seats braking. and not a huge saving from my current 41lbs recaros. which by the way weigh 30.5lbs without tracks mounted. What I bought are honda delsol seats from 96-97 base model. they are the lightest reclining seat I could find. they weigh a scant 27lbs with mounts and seat belt latch. my plan is to recover and tweak them to match and look more sporty. they are super compfy. the backs are very thin. IE more leg room for back seat. and factory strong. the early version 93-95 are possibly made by recaro. but after driving two hours to actually weigh some myself they are not as light at 31.5lbs. dont know how the same seat design can be 4lbs light on the late version and I dont really care. 1 am just happy to find a comfy recliner that is going to shave over 28lbs from my bottom line.

Cool! What car is that out of? My "piece of board" got damaged because the trunk leaks so I took it out. The plastic one would be ideal.

got car back together enough to take for a quick spin down the street. drive down the street turned into drive around the block turned into drive around the neighborhood. difficult to describe how much better the car drives. car already drove extremely well. but now its a different car. much better feel to the car now. takes bumps waaaay better. handles far better. all around feels like a much more expensive car now. VERY pleased with my efforts. still have much work to do to finish it up. very excited now.
