i Used photoshop CS. MOst of the editing was done with selections and adjustments (hue, saturation, balance, contrast etc.)

If anyone has high res pics OEM tails on different colors, go aheas and post em. I will photoshop the housings of the tail lights the body color.

I have a BBY Evo and I painted my lights red, pretty much looks just like your first pic in this thread. I thought about not painting a spot over the reverse lights but decided it would look odd in actual application (looks good in photoshop) because the light is recessed behind the lense.

What I have been kicking around is switching the reverse lights and the turn signals. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Will it work? Reasons for or against doing it?

on blue I think those both look good, it's a tough call.

IMO, red evos NEED the evo 7 tails, yellow NEED to keep the stock tails for the 8's, and tarmacs NEED MR tails or something like that. white, silver, and blue are much tougher to call though, it's a matter of personal taste.

I like the idea of paint matching the housings on your blue though, especially since I thought of it first

Here are pictures of my housings I just got back last night. I also shaded the red and white lenses in the upper portion of the housing.

IMO i think red EVO's need the DIY 7 tails the real jdm ones have too much red on them. Even into the clear turn signals.

I have been thinking about this same idea. I do not see why it would not work. It would obviously not be nearly as bright as the factory reverse light, but at least people would know when you are backing up. I have had painted reverse lights in the past, and you will be stuck trying to back out of a busy parking spot more often then you think.

Besides, with tinted windows, you can't see crap at night when it is in reverse anyway.

Here's a wallpaper I made with your picture. It's rather large 600K, and is in 1280x960. Enjoy.

Get the red. The blue looks good but it sort of takes away from the look of the car. For originality but for the overall look the red does it. Maybe you could do the blue for a while just to see the reaction you get
