I had to repaint my Evo and I wanted to try something a little different, but not so different that I would need to redo my door jambs.
I sprayed the car in Java black pearl. (black with a Gold flop) A little difficult to catch it in pictures so I made a video to go along with it.
I also went and got a JDM rear and suspension/wheels at the same time. I finally just finished putting the car back together today so I went and took some photos.
Greetings from Germany My 350Z will be repainted in Java Black Pearl in 2 Weeks. Have u sprayed any Prepaint like Black before u sprayed the Java Black Pearl? Thanks
Looks great! I am painting my car this color as well. It's nice to see some pictures haha. I've been trying to get it done the past two winters but haven't had a chance.
Thats a great looking color...I never heard of it. During the summer it will def. look purdy! Get on the calipers stat! I think non red color will look great on it....not sure what though to give advice.

It was a rare color option for some subaru models but now everyone wants it.
Its weird this paint seems to have a green tint in the gold flake in the pearl even though I can see a bunch of different flakes up close. Always trips me out.
is it me or is the pictures overexposed and cant really see or appreciate the new color?
They are edited, but due to the position of the sun where the car was shot in these pictures you cannot really see the flake. It's hard to capture it in pictures without the correct lighting. It looks like typical black out of sunlight and with direct sunlight it flops gold and green depending on the angle you are looking from.
Here's some earlier pictures before the car was fully re-assembled and before the suspension/wheels. They give a little better idea of how it looks.
I'll eventually get some better pictures of the entire car in direct sun light, just recovering from a broken foot right now and am on crutches.

Thanks! We're on the same page because that is my only gripe with the rest of the car as of now. I hate those red calipers, now they just clash with the paint scheme.
I've got some gold mixed up to do the calipers. It's the same gold used on some of the PT cruisers and Prowlers called Inca gold pearl.
