For sure. What did you do for rear fitment regarding clearing the trailing arm? Offset trailing arm (Like R/TErnie's), or a small spacer? Clearly the fenders are pulled for clearance there.

For the rears, I cut off the fender lip. For added safety I did grind down the trailing arm a little because it was so close. Some guys run a 3mm spacer but that made the tire hit my fender on hard corners. There's not much room left back there!

You don't like your passengers very much, do you? :P I assume you at least have a roll bar.

Yeah Ive heard about the 4 point on stock seats. With most of the time attack events I do I dont have passengers anyway. No roll bar. Maybe something bolt in someday if I keep up with the track events.

It was the five zero seven car show. held in Mankato every spring. I think they have a fall meet but its not as big. Ive actually never been to the mitsu cookout! Like I said, not big into car shows. Maybe if no other local events are going on ill check it out this year. I know Kurt does a good job with it.

.
4-point harnesses are okay, as long as they are the ASM version. not preferable, but at least the passenger won't end up on your floor hehe.
I mostly mean using harnesses with the reclining seat. That's what is all holding me back: I'd love a harness to hold me in place.. but not until I get a fixed seat. I can't do a fixed seat until I get the roll bar put in. So.. here i track with the stock seats and seat belts LOL. I do cheat and use the lap portion of my harness.
But at least your harnesses are anchored to the back portoin of the car and you use the harness bar to get the correct angle off your shoulder and not as a mounting point?
Sorry if i sound like I'm trying to be a safety steward. I just feel concerned for fellow enthusiast's well being. I see a lot of people that have dangerous safety equipment setups. I used to be one of them until someone explained everything to me; and I'm really glad they did.

The schrothe 4 point has the anti submarining feature if that's what you are asking?

I do have a harness bar behind the seats so I can get the correct angle with my harness. I took the seat out of another evo I bought and it still had the stupid sliders on it, sat way too high so mounted the evo2 on the solid mount. I agree. Most times people add "upgrades" they are actually downgrades. I try to keep everything as stock as possible. The front seat belts are still functional so if the passenger would like to use those they definitely can. I hope that answered your questions.

1. Don't apologize for helping someone understand something that will kill them. Ever.

2. Unless the 4 point has a crotch strap or two, it is 100% not safe. It's only about constraining the motion of your body during a crash event. You need to be constrained in all 6 possible directions of motion and the more/larger points of contact there are, the more controlled the motion (aka: force on your body) will be. Hope this point helps. Let me know if anything's unclear since I was kinda being lazy while explaining it lol.
