My Evo got Keyed....... Need Advice

Details:
Parked my car at work around 5 AM, Didn't come out to it until heading home in the afternoon.
Walking around my car at home when I saw the following.
My Evo got Keyed....... Need Advice-qpdokxa.jpg

It appears as though whoever did this attempted to start on the passenger side front door but didn't get it to catch until the rear door. Scratch continues onto about 3 inches of the rear quarter panel.

We have cameras at work, but they are not the best and may not even have been pointed in the right direction at the time of the incident.
I will be checking them today at some point and will update.

Questions:
Assuming I don't find anything out about who did this.
Should I go through insurance for repairs?
How much would this cost?

Thanks in advance.

Take it to a body shop of course, and get an estimate. They will probably have to paint the whole door to 'blend' it to match the other door, and fender. Depending on your deductible, and how much this will cost, your Insurance company might help you a little. Otherwise you'll have to pay for the whole job. Thank those A-hole' animals for what they did to your car.

Cost? It's hard to say. Depends where you take it! Don't go to some guy who says: "I'll give you a special deal, and it will only take a half day"! Find a 'real' reputable place. It's going to cost a good 'couple of hundred dollars' for sure...
Best of luck!

I had a car keyed before. My deductible was $100 and they had to fix the entire side of my car

No I don't think so because they still can't claim it against anybody. Depending on your deductible I would go through insurance. Well of course your body shop charges you less than your deductible

That'll prob be $500-$800 to fix. Paint on two panels and some clear blending. Depends on your deductible if you want to use insurance or not.
