hey I have owned both wheels.. the TS Titan is actually very different than the Mercury Silver. The Titan looks slightly goldish. The Mercury Silver is chromish in appearance and more of a true silver. Just wanted to make sure you are aware of that. I contacted Detective Coating in VA and they told me if I send in a picture they can try the match the color as best as possible. They also have this link on their site if I want to choose a color myself. They are doing my calipers now. I will post some pics once they are done.
thanks - that's right - i'm wavering on mercury silver a little, it is a little chrome-y, and i recall the tc105n being a little bronze-ish in certain lights. i like it in most situations though.
i sent them pics, they did my calipers too and they came out great. they pc inside the pin holes so it takes some effort to get the caliper pins in the first few times, but better tight than loose
it's also kind of hard to even measure the difference from swatches, which my wheel pc shop had, and see how it actually comes out on the wheel. i spent a good amount of time debating how to set the wheel color using those swatches and ultimately i didn't like how it came out, hence the redo. silver in general is a much more neutral, less polarizing color. trying to find a non-chromey but still metallic silver is tough but i think mercury silver is pretty darn close, just need something close in the pc options..
so I found these two pics online.. first shows the difference between titanium silver and mercury silver... mercury silver I've noticed is very close to formula silver. Your car being white I would probably go with a titanium.. but depends on how much bling you are going for.. if you want more shine then the mercury or formula silver is the way to go. Which brings me to my current dilemma. I sold my CE28n yesterday.. the +15 were a bit too aggressive but there is a set of +24 RTs at the moment. If I were to pick those up I would def get them done in titanium silver. Main reason is I like the satin finish better. If you look on the second pic, the satin less shiny version looks more pronounced on the car without being overbearing.. maybe I'm just not a big fan of the bling. These are Evos afterall.. not BMWs or Audis. But to each his own. Just pointing out some point of views. Getting stuff PCd isn't super expensive but it is a hassle and adds up if you keep doing them over and over.
I know at +24 I would still have to run a spacer up front ... likely a 5 mm.. that would put me at +19. But the +24 would certainly help in the rears. Optimally I would want to be closer to +28 but the face of the wheel changes at that offset. My other option is to go to a TE37SL 17x9.5 +28. This has the max concave on this size and they look nice when ran with a meaty 265 or 275/40. It would still require some fender work in the rear. Well maybe.. I am already rolled in the rears. That is my second option and would be alot less hassles than having to PC the CE28Ns. Decisions.. Anyways see color differences below.

Reason: grammar
what's the bottom pic of the s2k? mercury or titanium? frankly either silver is likely gonna be fine
any ideas on a powdercoat? honestly i'm expecting most silvers to be roughly the same..
the S2K ones are Titanium Silver. It is the lightest of all silvers available from Rays... oddly enough none of these color are available now. I am gonna go a bit darker than this silver but lighter than what you got yours in. So far I narrowed it down to BMW Silver, Platinum Silver or Galaxy Grey 3. The last color is the darkest.
these pics have practically convinced me of going mercury silver, BUT... it's so hard to capture that in powdercoat. dunno which pc would get that metallic but not chrome silver-y look

look a little closer to Volk's mercury silver than heavy silver, but could be a little dark. idk.... hard to tell online
I think the easiest way to figure this out is for you to contact him and email him a pic of a Volk mercury silver wheel and have him match it. I found a local place that is reputable so I wont be heading down to Richmond any longer. I will talk to these folks within the next couple of days so I will ask about the mercury silver color.
