Mine also popped out. I found how to fold it under better (look at the passenger seat to find out how). I also wanted to avoid the dealership. Mine has stayed put for a month now after I fixed it. Hint, it doesn't fold in like you would think it does. You really have to force it if you are doing it right.

It clips back in under the seat, you could use a little bit of clear silicone in the clip, that might give it enough hold to not unclip, but I agree,, take it to the dealer, that is their problem!

I have the same problem....this is how I fix it:

if you look at the side of the seat rail....there's a "gap" right at the edge....just roll the fabric up 180* and slip it back into that gap and you are done.

you may also look at the pass side to get a better idea, i believe that one is still attach as less ppl get on and off on that side.

hope this help

do you know how they fixed it? maybe theres a TSB out there for this?

I flip the edge 180 degrees and stuck it back in the slot but it seems to come off again after a couple of days!

Do you know why it pops out? This is because when you guys go into the drivers seat, you slide yourself in instead of hopping into it without brushing the sides of the seat. This is one thing that Recaros (or Mitsubishi) had never thought about.

The best Recaros on Lanevo would be the V, VI and TME....... the sides wont fall apart but the downside is... it doesnt hold us tight enough for sharp corners/track use.

heh, I just fixed mine last night for the second time. last time I fixed it I knew I didn't get it back on 100% so it was just a matter of time before it popped out again, but this time I got it good, hopefully it'll stay. there's 3 tabs you have to get the rail back under, and the fabric needs to go behind that plastic on the right side of the picture. last time I only got it under 2 of the 3 tabs.

so how does the dealer fix this? do they just stuff it back on and maybe glue it? or do you get a whole new seat? if it's a new seat (doubtful) I would go ahead and wait till the seat's a bit worn out and then have them replace it

How long does it take to fix at mitsu? I don't have a second car and would need them to do it while I wait. I have this problem too.

you don't need to take it to mitsu.....it's VERY easy to fix yourself. just fold it and tuck it back under the seat......it's harder than you would expect so if it goes back in easily you probably didn't do it right..........if you get it in correctly it should stay.......mine came out once about 4 months ago.......i put in back in and it hasn't come out since.......no sense going to the dealer if you don't have to
