hey while this thread peters out, is the Sparco Evo a sanctioned by Sparco the aftermarket racing equipment co?

If so, and since you have such a nice car why don't you offer a special Sparco racing seat for evo m members? You know to extend your "name" and help justify the sparco car, create good wll and promote the line. An evo evolution seat at a discount price to the evo owners.

If Im not mistaken those "Sparco" Racing wheels aren't produced by Sparco Italy or USA. They're another company (origin unknown) that somehow still sells wheels with the "Sparco" name. I know a LONG time ago Sparco (the seat manufacture) did make wheels (and spring for that matter) but has since discontinued them.

Maybe neither was interested in legal predeedings, I dunno.

Matt-
You are correct. "Racing Sparco" wheels are NOT manufactured by Sparco. Unfortunately, a company in Japan beat us to the punch in licensing our name in Japan, and they ended up registering the name "Racing Sparco" for wheels ONLY. Subsequently, we filed a lawsuit against them in Japan and elsewhere, and we have resolved this issue. It is a shame that companies have to resort to this type of "dirty" tactics, and try to confuse the market with the name, but this was done many many years ago, and has been a thorn in our side, ever since. "Racing Sparco" wheels are using the SPARCO name and brand equity to capitalize on our success.

Please be aware, that Sparco does NOT endorse, approve of, or warranty any wheel manufactured by a company which is in no way affiliated with our company, SPARCO. For this reason, on the SPARCO EVO, we are running VOLK wheels.

Heh, I saw some leaked results on the braking test (bastard only posted those). I guess you guys did really well, with carbon brake disks. And the Buschur car with Stoptechs came in second.

Hope I don't get busted for an OT, But I want to say that everyone I've had the JOY to meet in the racing/compteitive arena associated with Sparco has been FIRST CLASS. They do this while using every angle they can to make their EVO the best example of what our EVOs should be! Damn Scott I find myself smiling even when you beat me! GREAT JOB at the USCC and we'll kill 'em next year right?

A perfect example of street, race, show and of course class. You guys are great in person and have swayed me into purchasing your products in the future.
So where's that new blue carbon shift knob? I saw it on your car and Al's Dyno car. Is it still a prototype?
