Hm, I have a BBY but I still don't like the blue. It looks sorta cheesy, IMO. I'd wanna just get full black seats, or maybe dark grey to contrast a little. (dark grey where the current blue is). But jeezus, $1100 for reupholstering? You might as well spend a couple hundred dollars more for brand new racing seats that have better side bolsters! I was thinking maybe $500 or less...

yeah right, a couple hundred extra for cheap racing seats, then you still have a different color backseat. I think you could spend less than 1100 on the interior. But why get a ghetto job. That's like shopping for a dirt cheap Lasic eye surgery! Sometimes it's better to get it done right and pay for that privledge!

You can't replace the front seats with equal quality for less than $1100. Don't replace your Recaros with cheap seats just because you don't like the fabric. BTW, you can get leather for $600 - $700 with a do-it youself-kit. This was very popular with the early WRXs.

I didn't say you could get new seats for < $1100. I just think if I were to spend $1100 on reupholstering, I might as well spend a little more and get better seats for me. I have a small frame, and the smaller bolsters they made for us " fat Americans" is not a good fit for me. I need bigger bolsters.
I'm not saying I would settle for a ghetto job - I never do anything the cheap way. But I just don't think it's worth $1100 just to replace the fabric color. You guys must be high rollers... haha.
