I had a highend Pioneer before... 7400 or something like that...

Is this a pretty typical feature with in-dash flip-out LCD's?

This is important to me because I'm running Hardy's gauge panel and my head unit is in the lower cubby slot, which means any flip out unit would have to be able to clear the "overhang".
Has anyone done the LCD thing w/ the hardy panel? I was wondering about this myself..

Do any of the motorized lcd displays swivel left or right? It seems like you can only adjust the up and down angle on them.

some of the units will allow you to go left to rigth ... some of the eclipse unit did that .. but manually .. pioneer, alpine, clarion didnt allow that

and i've installed a bunch of these units in my previous cars already ... and i love Eclipse and Alpine .. i have had alpine iva-d900, pioneer avic n1, 6500, clarion 935 and the Eclipse av3423 and the previous model to that .... and the one i love was alpine and eclipse !

the eclipse 7002 was the last unit i believe to allow swivel left and right and actually extended out another 3 inches to clear a stereo that was recessed in.
