Correct. An exacto or utility knife will make quick work of one of two the little tabs.

The problem with that picture is that its photoshopped. If we actually cut circles for the reverse it would most likely look ugly cause the housing is deep inside and when u reverse it would still appear red from the sides.

I just got my smoked overlays in today. I haven't got time to put them on. I read the directions and still feel a little iffy. I want to do a really clean installation. I was wondering if anyone would give tips on installation. Did you guys use a heatgun or hair dryer. I just don't want to mess up and waste 30 bucks.. ^_^

Use a hairdryer, especially near the top. You should be fine .

I can take pictures of what those different options will look like cause I've done them already.

But personally I am working on making the reverse=brake light, turn signal=reverse, brakelight=turn signal, and parkingtaillight=parkingtaillight.

They look so good in person! Everyone seems to notice them quickly.
Hmm, that's a good solution, but to be really "legal", a turn signal must be visible from its side as it blinks...

I had Mike (MYEVOVIII) do mines over the weekend, he took it off to do them and did a damn good job too. We didn't use this overlay though and it was $5 cheaper. (this is with install) I'll post pics as soon as i can get my hand on a digital camera.
