It's VERY easy to pop that lock cylinder out and paint it.

 

lock looks nice but front mitsu painted black doesnt look too good on a black evo

 

Yeah, i've got a black evo and i'm still debating if I should paint my symbols black.

 

Did you remove the front emblem to paint it, it did you tape around it?

 

That paint on your trunk needs some TLC! Too many swirl marks for such a new car.

I think your Emblems look real nice. Good job. When I had my Black WRX, I wanted to anodize the trunk key cyliner black. My dreams and ideas never came to fruition, but 'twas a novel concept.

 

I taped it off. Did 2 layers primer, 3 layers paint, 3 layers clear. Looks good so far.

Yeah dont mention the paint it is pretty crappy. Just havent got around to it. I actually just bought a ton of blackwax, paint glaze, clay bar, etc. Gunna give it a real good cleaning this weekend.

The trunk was REAL ez to take off. Open the trunk and a clip holds it on pop that off and your pretty much there.

 

i thought about doing this on my evo,but with some vinyl.looks cool.but i think the front is to blacked now.there was a black evo with the front diamond blacked out,and had a nice chrome line around it.that looks good.its somewhere in the tarmac black section.

 

Yeah I really like the look of all black cars. I really don't like chrome. Even thinking about painting the intercooler but decided against it after I did it in photoshop. Blacking out the headlights next.

 

I love the look of all black cars too. Im blacing out my headlights this weekend, along with my badges done in a flat black. Ill post pics when Im done
