Those other pics look a lot better and it has everything to do with the color/lighting combination... I really like the first 3 BMW pics (Even though the Evo's a MUCH better looking car

sorry to say this, but as an art director for a magazine, the only pics I would use are corey1.jpg and the last one. Your yellow casts from the bulbs is way to overwhelming, heres some tips, when shooting at night, never shoot inabsolute darkness unless you are willing to do so at like f22 for like an hour. If you know different lights affect film in different ways. IE tungsten bulbs create yellow casts on film, Halogen casts green, etc. buy the proper film for that situation. If shooting digitally set you white balance to compensate for such light shifts.
Your composition excells at times. and yes when shooting a black car at night try black and white film OR park it somewhere where moonlight hits it and do really long exposures.

like everyone else said, those are hardly pro shots...amatuer with a fancy digi cam at best. The car is not tack sharp in hardly any of the pictures...and why so dark? Put some light on it and light it up some.
sterling another tip, invest in a tripod, also camera sotres sell these mini trippods for digi cams I love mine allows you to gett really low, and they also work for film cameras. if anyone wants advice please dont hesitate to PM I would love to help out fellow owners and friends.

What a great job. I love photography, and have travelled extensively and taken some good pics, but I have only my own personal tastes to go by (no training, per se). I have a mini-tripod I got from Best Buy, and it has proven very useful. Here's a nice off-topic pic I took recently in Mexico:
