Alignment and Steering Question.....

Hey guys,

A while back I had hit a curb and had to get an alignment and tires. I took it to the dealer to get aligned. Later I noticed that to get the car to track straight, the steering wheel must be turned to the left slightly. In other words, the steering wheel isn't "centered" perfectly. The tech who did the alignment said it wasn't a big deal but I've come to the point where I can't stand it anymore. I'm very **** about my car and it just ruins the feel for me. I just wish I could get the steering wheel all centered up perfect like the day I got it. Has anybody else had this problem before? Can I fix it? Should I stop being so **** about my car? Please help!!!!!! Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Fred

you can always take the steering wheel off and recenter it. Not too sure about how to do it with airbags so it may be best to have your dealer do it

I know how you feel. I am pretty **** about the alignment as well. If it's not going straight when I take my hands off the wheel it's not good enough.

Perhaps you could ask him for the spec sheet from the alignment. They could have messed up and just "forgot" to tell you since they are lazy.

if it bothers you that much you can also lower the sub frame ,lower the steering shaft, and move the steering shaft 1 tooth.that should fix your problem. have you had an aftermarket clutch installed. cause some geniouses in the begining were dropping sub frames to install clutches. maybe mis alligned

Why go thru all this^^^

You paid to get your alignment done right. If your not happy...bring it back so they can fix it right the way you want it.

This is simple to adjust, take it back and make them do it for you or take it to another shop and have it done there. The tech was sloppy.
