I just had my car aligned at 2k miles. Toe set to 0 front and rear. Now at 4500 miles, the inside shoulders of the front tires are worn out! I can't imagine all of this wear occurred during the first 2000 miles. Having the tires rotated at 5000 miles, and I'm going to watch the fronts very carefully.

inside front wear was mor than the others but not radically so. I had the dealer put my car on the alignment rack and check it out. The car was specs. Thanks for the heads up Marksae... I will have the toe adjusted to 0.

I just replaced my tires a few days ago. They weren't the stock ones. But I still had the wear on the insides of the tires and outer edges. The insides on my right side were bald. Got an alignment at the same time. It appears it was the toe causing the wear has that was what was out on the alignment.

For those that don't know or understand wheel alignments, 99% of the time just because the car drives straight does NOT mean it's aligned properly. Caster and more importantly toe have more to due with the car tracking straight than the camber setting that was most likely the cause of your tire wear.

FYI, you get one alignment under warranty in the first 12 months or 12,000 miles if your car is not tracking straight or showing uneven tire wear. And yes, YOU could have knocked your toe setting out of alignment in the first 6,500 miles. All it takes is one pothole or curb hit to do it.

Let's blame Mitsubishi because you don't understand wheel alignments, jeez!
