I don't think the Tein S. Techs drop the car too low, but of course I wouldn't! This kit will completely close the gap between the tire and the side flare. It may be hard to tell from the pics, but the tire does not go above the body. I was careful not to do that. Well, to each his own, but it takes up that space perfectly. You do have to be careful about bottoming the front fascia, even with larger wheels.

Tein H-techs...the ride and handling are exactly the same if not better and it gives the EVO a perfect drop

Absolutely drop! I used JIC FLTA2's and the way cars handles and looks is like a different car. Highly recommended.

Drop it! Hotchkis springs are only $150, so if you don't like it no biggie just change them back.

dude get the H-techs. like Rez-90 said. It's a happy medium. You get a beautiful drop, but don't get the pavement scrapping ultra-drop of the S-techs.

The Tien H-Techs have a great ride. I had them on my car for 10K miles. The hieght looks good too. But, I no longer have them on my car and went back to the stock shock/spring combo. There were things I did not like about them. But, for most driving situations the H-Techs are great.

Agreed, If you are going to drop it do it with a great set of coilovers.

Springs = more asthetic purposes, less performance
Coilovers = more performance, less asthetic purposes

Which category do YOU fall in?
