Problems on stock tires on 05 Evo 8

Here is my situation...the inner thread on my two front tires are completely worn down...the car only has 3600 miles... I called the Mitsubishi Service at my dealership and they said that they can correct the alignment, but wont replace the tires on the car...is there anything that I can do about this. This is a manufactures defect that caused my tires to wear down. Any help will be appreciated.

I doubt Yoko will comp another set of tires especially if the car was out of alignment. Irregular wear 90% of the time is caused by lack of tire rotations or bad alignment. If the car wasn't in spec from the start they should at least pro-rate you another set. If they don't just try another dealer.

that dealer is wrong, mitsu will pay to replace those tires due to mis alignments for 12 months 12k miles as long as you still have the factory springs. i know so because i have gotten 3 diff cars' front tires replaced that way

yoko wont get involve unless you blew a tire or have a tire difect, because the car was out of alignment mitsu will pay to have a new set install on the car and have the alignment fix, but as everyone who owns an evo knows, the camber on them is set to wear tire quickly. and mitsu doesnt pro rate tires, just batteries

I cant believe this thread popped up. I just had my 10k service done yesterday and they came to me and said that my front two tires are bad and when i looked at them they were both worn on the inner side, so all they said was they switched to the back like they were supposed to do and said i need to buy new tires.

I dont really drive my car hard so I dont think that they should have worn down that quick.

Does anyone know what my course of action would be in this case?

I just had my tires rotated for the third time(this last time I had the tires takken off the rims and remounted so the inside edges are now on the outside.) I only have 8,800 miles and three of the four tires are bald on the inside edge. I've been told by more than one dealer not to expect more than 10,000 miles from these tires.

Set your camber to 1.0 at all four corners and make sure your toe is at zero.
Be ready to suffer the loss in handling though.

I went back in and mitsu checked my alignment and said that everything is at spec. They did not offer any suggestions as to what i should do or anything. How did you guys get new tires for this problem. My two tires look totally crazy, i have tons of tread on my tires except for the inner couple inches where it is almost to the core. It is total abnormal wear.

any ideas!

^^ What you are mentioning sounds like too aggressive of a TOE setting. Remember its TOE that wears tires, not camber or caster. Now having too much camber will wear out the insides of your tire quicker than the rest. My recommendation is to zero out the front and rear toe settings. The EVO come with a little bit of TOE IN in the rear from the factory default, that is why the tires don't last.
