All of the Porterfield R4S pads I have had one cars all lasted very long. I only had them at the track on lightweight Civic's, but even then they lasted. They were on my IS300 (about the same weight as the EVO) and they were wearing very well at about 7K miles when I parted the car.
I don't know how/if this really pertains to track driving though. Personally, they fit the bill for a street/autox pad extremely well. In 4 years of using them I haven't felt the need to try any other pads. Medium/low dusting, good when cold, great when warm, no squeeling.
Track events are most likely above the optimum heat range for these pads though, thats my estimate.

Porterfield was another name mentioned, but I was told to stay away from anything with an S in the name... Apparently they burn up really fast... is that true??

The Hawk HP+ were the first aftermarket pads I had used, unfortunately, I installed them without the shims. Boy, were they loud! Talk about squealing like Ned Beatty! Seriously, my wife startled a young boy off his bike as she came to a routine, screeching stop. I now use Ferodo 2500. I think the Ferodos are a bit more aggresive, however, if I don't re-bed the Ferodos before a track event I get the dreaded uneven pad transfer. I experienced no such problem with the stock pads or the Hawks.

I just ordered some Hawk HPSs (front only). Do I need to use the shims off my stock pads to avoid the squealing??? If so, how do I do this? (sorry if this is posted elsewhere). Thanks in advance!!

If you do a search you will find a more thorough explanation.

No one has mentioned Carbotech Panther Plus.

or what I'm running now, Performance Friction:
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/evo.htm
I've run the Ferrodo DS2500 and I think that the PFs have a lot more initial bite than the DS2500. They are also about $50 cheaper per set. I will have some track results within the next couple of weeks. But as of now as far as performance:
PF and Carbotech > DS2500
edit: I think I paid $180-$190 for DS2500.

DS 2500s... I use and recommend them as one of the best street/light track pads for the buck. I got front and rear for $234 shipped here: http://www.raceshopper.com/ferodo_brake_pads.shtml

How about the Rotora Ceramic PadS? any good?
I'm thinking to get Rotora Rotors + Ferodo DS 2500 Pads.
Is it good? I don't know how good the Rotora Rotros are compare to the Stock Brembo...
What do you think? I'm kind of worry choosing a set of pads that will eat the Rotora Rotors
