Tein S-tech springs

Thinking about dropping my evo a little bit but wanted to know a few things about the springs from people who have them. How is the ride like compared to stock? Does it handle any better, or just for the looks? Will the springs reduce the life of the shocks like some springs do? Do you bottom out alot more compared to stock? Thanks

the tein S have a nice drop...only problem with them is they are wayyyyy to low. My friend had it on his car, couldnt even stick a pack of cigarettes under the front bumper. Just be prepared for dips/bumps/Potholes/etc.

there are a lot of posts on here about this topic, from the research i've done you'll hear they are the best and then you'll hear that they arent good.

Best is to find someone with them and take their car for a drive, at least thats what I'm planning on doing.

Yeah, I found the same thing. So I just bought them. If I don't like them, I'll just take them off and sell them.

I love them. It lowers it pretty good, but I love that look. THe Evo looks so mean and aggressive with it lowered. You do have to wathc out for things like potholes and rocks and how you pull out of driveways, BUt I think it is worth it. Purely your preference though. Good luck with your decision.

it doesn't bounce. It actually handles a little better, and it improves your launches. THe car doesn't lift as much when you first launch.

NJ and NY roads suck... they are not all that bad but especially after snow there are pot holes everywhere.

Hell if i lived in Vegas or out west where there was no snow and nice all year round (except rain of course) then I would definalty lower my **** no questions asked.

I have the s techs the drop looks mean ive never bottomed the struts out like most cars with em evo struts are nice and stiff dampening. as long as you be carefull, you dont realy scrape iv never scraped my bumper.....just have to pull in steep driveways sideways I drive a tow truck for a living sometimes ill tow my car to have both at my house when im on call...if you ever need your car towed tell em to bring a few 2x6's or you wont have a bumper

good luck nick

edit: ride quality really didnt change no better no worse in my opinion still handles like a wet dream
