I recall seeing some magnesium wheels in those sizes, but I can't for the life of me think of where I saw them.. I would suggest contacting one of the big race car builders or manufacturers. I recall seeing Magnesium wheels on the Lamborghini Countache, unfortunately I think they were 16 or 15" and not nearly wide enough..

you can contact HRE or any high-end wheel manufacturer, since if you can afford it, they will make anything you want.

The porsche Carrera GT uses magnesium wheels in roughly the sizes that you're looking for. If you can find out who Porsche uses as an OEM vendor for these wheels you might have some luck.

I know exactly which wheels you speak of, and I only know of one set in the US, and it was on an RX7 in socal, and he went to japan personally to get them.

post a pic w/them on your car and I'll probably wet myself...but untill then, I gotta call BS.

last I checked, if you can find them in japan, the yen-usd conversion was right around $1500/wheel, but that was the only website I could find that had em...granted I can't read japanese.

Gruppe S gave me a quote on the Volk magnesium TE-37's. It was around 1250 per wheel (I'll have to look up the pm to find the exact price). That's the ballpark, anyway...

Go ahead and call BS, I really don't care. Or call Adam at Z1 Auto and ask him if someone by the name of John ordered Magnesium Volks. I'll have them in 60 to 90 days, then I'll post pics.

You're correct, $1250.00 per wheel.

Team Dynamics makes those sizes in a cast magnesium rim:

You'd think that the engineers at Mitsubishi would know better! I wonder if exploding turbos will be covered under warranty?

Not exactly pretty, and not exactly cheap, but the aero model wheels are about the best in function available now.

The magnesium is in the compressor wheel. 0% chance of explosion. 99% chance people will continue to think it's in the turbine wheel, regardless of how many posts to the contrary.

They're blackish-blue. Search the web. It's pretty easy to find a picture.

Just another thought to those who think magnesium is a danger in wheels. Aluminum is used in solid rocket fuel and bombs...
