Tein Flex + EDFC.. Thoughts?

Hello. I am in the market for some good suspension. I have Tein S Springs right now and im not entirely pleased with how they perform. The ride is a little too bumpy. Im not currently into AutoX but would like to be in the near future. I am looking for smooth ride comfort but also an agressive suspension when needed. I did some research and found that the EDFC unit allows you to ajust the dampning force in cabin and you can set the modes on the fly. Also has a memory where u can select a pre-adjusted mode.

My question is, are there any Evo owners that use the EDFC? I wanted to know your opinion on how they are as far as preformance and reliability. All opinions will be appreciated. Thanks

Krunal

Have the flex's and love them. Great for the track and not too much for around town. With a rear sway there is almost zero body roll. I do not have the edfc, didn't think it was worth it. I leave mine on the stiffest setting all the time.

Overall they work well on the Evo. Once you factor in the EDFC, there are setups that are marginally more money and alot more suspension (Zeal, Cusco, etc). However, the Evo platform happens to be one that works well with the Flex

IMHO, EDFC=Bling. Most people I know who have it don't even use it, they just leave it on one setting.

for the street en1gma I agree..same goes for every coilover though

for those that do the occassional track day and autox, at least out of my customers, they tend to use the EDFC.

Agreed. I could see it being useful for the occasional track day

I disagree as i have the Tein FLex and the EDFC. I use all 3 settings when needed. I change it at least 2-3x a week.

If you truely care about performance and/or comfort, the SET-UP of any coil-over you purchase is infinitely more important than being able to adjust damper settings from the cabin.
