I got some Gorilla locks 73631T 12mm x 1.50 mm. Went to install one and as I was screwing the lock in with the key the washer got screwed up and I think I ended up stripping the thread . I knew I stripped it when I didn't feel the lock tightening and it just kept on spinning as I was trying to tighten it. Good thing I didn't try to install all four! Now I got one wheel stud stripped! What do I do now?

Should I bring it to dealer or local mechanic?

 

Go to a tire place first (ntb, firestone ect..) if they cant do it, take it to a local mechanic, then the last possible option would be the dealer.

 

Went to rotate my tires today and I checked the wheel stud that I stripped. Damn it looks perfect! Doesn't even look stripped. The lug nut aint stripped either. So why is it that the lug nut doesn't want to tighten up?
