My best guess:

Rust stains from the iron that is used to protect the edge of a sidewalk gutter.

Try to think if you might have rubbed a curb recently that may have iron on the edge of the sidewalk gutter. These gutter are usually on a main (commercial) road or street.

Should wash right off with a car wash. Happened to me before.

- OR -

You ran over some dirty or rusty water.

Should wash right off with a car wash.

Hope this helps.

You could have driven through some gasoline as well, probably at a gas station. Gas leaves brown stains on rubber.

Yea, I know I havent curbed my tires... so I'm thinking maybe rusty water from the puddles I have to park in sometimes at my apt. complex? I have washed it..and it is unnoticable when tires are wet...but when they dry..they come right back..oh well. Just as long as my tires dont blow up..haha.

you need to get some tire bleach... pep boys or autozone
forget the exact name of it... but it should take the brown out .
armor all will only hide the problem for a little while.
