tanabe springs install

I currently have the hotchkis spring and am going to be changing to the tanabes. The hotchkis springs came with a different bump stop and am not sure if I should use those bump stops or put the factory ones back in. The springs came with no direstions, but I remeber the last pair I put on my z said to cut the factory bump stops. I would like to know what people are doing on there set ups or if maybe someone else got directions that I didn't?

Thanks Joe

Nothing wrong with the hotchkis just trying a more firm spring rate. And sorry already promised them to a friend but will keep you in mind if the backs out.

The tanabe spring rates are 256lbs front....319lbs rear and the hotchkis.... 195lbs front and 275lbs rear so it will firm up the ride a bit.

No not really better just a harder ride so they might not be better. The hotchkis would probably be better for daliy driving but not sure haven't tried the tanabes yet.

I think Hotchkis spring rate way too low.. I know they are progressive but I would think that the when lowering the car the stiffer the spring should be. Even though it will have bumpy ride but i didn't buy a EVO from smooth chill ride.

They seem pretty close when I was driving it around tonight after the install. The ride is a bit firmer but I like it. Havent had a chance to take any hard corners.

Now that you've got some seat time are you happy with your choice to switch to the Tanabes? How do they differ from the Hotchkis?
