compliments of the dealership

thanks to the dealership, I got 4 nice new shiny brembos. My just started to peel, I mean barely and I thought they would give me a bunch of **** but not a word. It was a "sure, we will get you new ones right away, while we do that, if you provide rotors and pads we will install them too" I was impressed and shocked. Also thanks to Shaker Motorsports for the deal on the rotors and SupremeCVR for the crazy priced groupbuy.

WOW, that seems a little too easy. They probably wanted to get your car in to look at it, now that they see mods, your warrenty is canned. J/K

nice looking rotors BTW, how are they holding up?

Lucky you, they told me "no it's cosmetic" ... I bet this will be the answer out of most District Service Managers from now on as well.

man, you are lucky! i am currently in a dispute settlement proceedure to try and get mine replaced. all four of mine have completely lost all the clear coat... they are a mess. clowns in the northeastern region denied my claim, now i hope the national center for dispute settlement can get this fixed. can't understand why some dealers/reps replace some peoples calipers and not others. seems to me mitsu doesn't have a leg to stand on on this. we'll see.

Congrats on getting something out of mitsu! On another note, where did you get the silver plate that goes between your gauges (tach speedo). Your interior looks great!

Dayum You got the red brembos? I got to choose different colors from the dealership. I chose green brembos. They are the more type-racing ones. Yours are like for street. I also have one more piston caliper. ttyl

no, actually this dealership treats me and the other 3 evos around real good. I am the 2nd to get new brakes, another car got a new line to the AC because an aftermarket intercooler pipe rubbed a hole in it, I also fried my ecu awhile back. I went in once to get fluid for my diffs and they said "let me research so we definitely get the right stuff, we don't want anything to be wrong with you warranty." I told asked if they remember all the mods on my car. They said "Yes, Mr West, but you don't have 36K on the car yet, so in our eyes you still have a full warranty."

I haven't drove even 10 miles yet, so there is a little shake when I press lightly on them and a squeek when I press a little harder. If I press firm all is good. I assume this is because they are new?

i am having problems with my brakes, different type though.
they cant find the problem.....
when im turning and hitting the brakes, they squeal horrendously bad
it did it from day one, ive been in once, they heard it and blamed it on the pads, they side there might be a higher concentration of mettalic material in one part of the pad (wtf?!?!?!)
and they are still new pads(1200 miles at the time)
so every thousand miles i am going to bring it in. three strikes ur out(lemon law)

anybody else have this problem??

Lucky you, I'm get the it doesn't effect the performance of the break thing from the district rep here. Tried two diff. dealerships and they said they'd replace them, just had to get it ok'd from the district rep. Shot down both times.

I had a similar experience with getting mine replaced a few months ago. The dealership here has been great. Of course, I took my car to a DE last weekend and now my shiny new red Brembos are very, very brown. Maybe I can get them replaced again??? lol
