KW Variant 3 or DMS 40MM Gold Coilovers?

I have not been able to decide between:

KW Variant 3's

DMS 40MM Gold

H&R Coilovers

I have researched all of these companies and they all seem very good but I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with them. I'am looking for a quality product. I will be both on the street and on the track and this car will be my daily driver in the summer and winter, what coilovers are going to stand up?

Quality and price; KW. Stainless steel , seperate bump and rebound
adjustments, progressive design(will handle a wider range of spring rates) and
$2400.

I recently took part in the installation of a KW coilover kit in an '03 Cobra and the quality was quite impressive.

the DMS 50mm aren't bad, I've used them on my rally cars. there have been a lot of problems with the DMS 40mm within the Subaru community.

I'd pick the KW Variant 3's, too. Do any of the vendors here carry them?

I have a question or comment. I am not denying that the 40mm on their intial relase had issues, but how come everyone just says "they had issues" and never say why, or what the company did to fix them. This was something that happened on the initial model that started production over 5 years ago !!!!

There have been no shocks produced from the factory in the past 3 years that had any issues. As soon as australia got news of what was happening, the damage was definatly done ... is still being done.

Anyways, if someone is interested in testing a set of 40mm in the north bay area, I can arrange to have a dealer do a test session free of charge on the condition the "SUBJECT" posts a DESCRIPTIVE report (good and bad)

Anyone interested ??
Mark

What is a good price for the KW Varient 3's and do any of the vendors carry them, and if you don't mind me asking how much did you guy's pay for your KW set up? How often do the KW's have to be rebuilt?

i have 50,000 on my kw's and they still dont need to be rebuilt. i payed 1200 for my V2s (i deal with them through my shop, if i would have waited, i might have been able to get an even better deal on them! D@MN my inpatience!). expect V3s to be in the neighborhood of 2000-2400 (dont have my priceguide in front of me, but can check if your curious about what they do go for on the open market. pm me if you would like!)
