Looking for opinions: DMS 40mm

Looking for anyone with experience with the DMS 40mm Gold coilovers. I know they are the rung below the 50mm which are just more than I want to pay right now. Any comparable coilovers around the same price point with more adjustability. Thanks in advance.

For a weekend track car I would go with something tried and true like the Megan Tracks or even better, the PIC/PURE TSOs

XK120, Thanks for the thoughts, Kinda surprised there are'nt more people running these as they seem to fall into the same price range as most decent coils. Curious if there is some reason why.

Been looking, and found tons more info on the KW's than the DMS. Just trying ro get some owner input on how they use their cars and their results. DMS seems to have a pretty stout racing history.

Because most EVO owners are cheap. That is also why you will see a lot of owners recommend Megans, BC, etc. If you are considering the EVO as a track car, Ohlins, KW V3s, DMS, Motons, Koni Race, JRZs etc should work well. With that EVO owners that usually track their car tend to go with Ohlins and KW V3 due to price. The fact that Robi sells KWs and Chronohunter used to recommend Ohlins, might has something to do with that.

I've used the 40s on some other cars, GC8 turbo Impreza and my rally car (see avatar). They are good shocks and I did a bit of jumping with the 40s on my rally car, and they took the abuse.

www.cp-racing.com is an authorized DMS seller & rebuilder. Ask for Mitch!

Despite not much feedback I ended up picking up a set of these at a great price. Retail is 2800 and I got them for well less than that. Won't have the oppurtunity to test them out til the spring but the quality of the dampers is awesome. I'll post some pics when I'm out of work.

I can't speak to what you are using your DMS for, but I've been Rallying on DMS for more than a few years now and all I can say is that they are the BEST thing I ever put on my car.

Plain and simple... you will NOT be disappointed in them in the slightest.

Predictable, precise, strong... perfection.

Enjoy them!

COOL

Although I won't be rallying on them it's nice to know their heritage in such a grueling form of motorsport is strong.

Had them on my EVO 8 ! LOVE THEM !!! keep setting around 15 clicks ! The reaction time is so fast that you feel the shocks working and the car just stays stable !!! Way better then stock.
