no one is using them because they're hard to get which means they're hard to replace and they're also expensiver than golden **** nuggets. it might be easier to get ahold of in taiwan but... yeah. endless is top of the line stuff... just wish they disclosed the technology they used in their rotor vane design.

My Evo wears Endless 2piece Racing rotor + SSS pads.

It is almost impossible to crack this rotor, look at the material composition. This rotor has been used by the top Japanese Evos with 500+ hp in track conditions.
Warpage: I had steering wheel vibration, but I'm almost sure that is due to over-reached the temp limit of the pads, causing pad tranfer.
I do not recomend SSS pads if you will reach more than 150mph. I burned my SSS pads.
Next step will be the SSM and then the CCX pads...

Did your SSS pads squeak? DId you use the stock shims? I have the CCR pads on order

No noise! any squeak with SSS.

I think that to avoid noise with any brake pad you must use the stock shims plus a special anti corrosion compound.

The Endless SSSS pads come with an anti-squeal coating already sprayed on the back of the pads and are quiet. I sprayed an extra coating of anti-squeal on the back of the shims as well.

As far as performance, I felt the SSSS performed about the same as the stockers at the track. I got them to fade pretty good. So I don't recommend these pads for heavy track use.

It's a sticky coating like that Permatex anti-squeal spray you can buy from your local autoparts store. It makes changing brake pads a b*tch if you wear latex gloves since the latex keeps sticking to it. hehe..

*edit*
The color of the coating that came w/ the pads was blue BTW.

Marksae, Which pads do you recommend?

I can't buy a track only pad because I drive on the streets and I can't buy a street only type pad because I drive very hard on the roads. Which one would be good for street/track conditions?

thanks

I dunno since I'm a newbie to open tracking. I'm just speaking from my personal experience. My next trip to the track will be w/ brake ducting, so perhaps the Endless SSSS pads will work better w/ proper cooling aids.

I hear the Performance Friction pads are good, but they're discontinued. I hear the Project Mu Titan Kai's are also good.

I order parts from a sales manager in japan and he tracks his RX-7 about 3 times a week and he recommends Endless CCR pads for street/track over the CCX. He said CCR pads are actually better than the CCX cause the material isnt as harsh on the rotors due to some kind of carbon material. They work good for street and track without any problems.
