They sell just the metal shims... Not the riveted on ones. So we'll see if they help any on my car.

there are no riveted shims on the stock pads. I used a small screwdriver to pry them off, then some alcohol to clean off the adhesive.

I didnt even put them on. The Hawk HPS pads I have dont squeal a whole lot but i put on the anti-sieze all over the back and sides.

i don't understand how the shims help squeeking... i don't see how the grease does either.

btw i don't usually talk about this... but that was some supremely bad spelling in the first post.

Unfortunately, I have the part of the shim that comes off easily and threw away the ones stuck on the pads, when I changed to aftermarket pads. Do we know for sure Mitsu doesn't sell the shim stuck on the pad, cause mine are squeeking like crazy.
