I just used copper anti-seize and covered the back of the pad where it contacts the pistons.

anti squeel - get it at autozone, pepboys, etc. it goes on the back of the pads. i firsted used a spray, it didn't work well. then i bought the grease-type version and piled it on. no more noise.

I'm pretty sure you need shims. As for the stock shims, you can only get those with a new set of OEM pads. The only aftermarket shims that i know of are from girodisc but they are pretty pricey.

If you don't want your brakes to squeal buy stock pads and always keep the shims. I think I posted this up on your other post. The shims and anyhting else on the back of the pad are made to keep the pad from exciting the rotor into a natural frequency that causes the squeal. There are a few companies that get paid millions to put these on stock pads, and they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions too, researching and testing these shims and backing plates. Also remember to bed your brakes in right. You can search for that. You can try the above fixes but they could be temporary or need to be reapplied if you have a track day where these things may melt off.

Our pad shims are not anti-noise shims as the factory pieces are. They are Titanium heat shields for track use to help keep heat out of the calipers.

Thanks,

Martin

You need to drop the price and sell them by the set (quantity discount type of thing)...IMHO...Like 4 axles for $220.

97 compound is awesome.

try that anti squeaking stuff from autozone. a friend of mine had hawk hp+ which squeak moreso than the hps and after using it, his went away. at least for some time.

$80 is per axle. An axle is considered one end of the car. $80 for the front, $80 for the rear. It shows this in our webstore.

Thanks,

Martin

So all I've ever read on this site is that you can't purchase oem shims for the Brembo's from Mitsu. Guess what? I ordered them today and they'll be here Friday. I think less than $40 total is what I ended up spending...

I'm curious as to which shim they can get you. There's the one that has the little bent tabs and small "arrow" punched in it, and then there's the shims that are actually adhered or stuck on to the back of the stock pads. If they sell the second ones I mentioned, that would be most excellent.
