winter tires, what to get?

well as the topic says, who has winter tires, traction tires snow/ice variety.

i got a trip coming up for aspen colorado for the winter x games and i dont think the stock advans are up to the task of winter driving thru utah and colorado safely. it snows and ices here a good bit but its been dryin up, the mountains are a diff story.

what winter tires have u owned/tried and you feel has the highest margin of safety. i dont care to go blitzing there at 110mph. just as long as i can do 10 over the speed limit and stay on the road if that is even possible.

I currently have the Pirelli Pzero M+S for the winter and they work great. I've taken them up to the mountain Mt Baker once this year and rode on a little bit of snow. I put about 130 miles on them daily, mostly on rain, and they're great for me but then again I can only compare them to the Advan. Sidewall for these are definitely more compliant with the road.
