This issue happened to my car.
I went to a mitsu dealer for some other stuffs, i asked them to check brakes because of the light. They told me that it's probably my pads which need to be changed soon.

They did not change the pads since I will probably do it by myself. But since the light is off. They probably did something but nothing on the pads.

So you should be able to find a solution without touching the pads.

That "solution" is to top off the fluid...but it is not the correct one. Replace your pads

Im having a similar problem with my brake light. In the mornings I disengage my parking brake and the light stays on? If I stop at a red light or stop sign the light goes off and when I take my foot off the brake it comes back on and stays on for about 30-45min then eventually goes off and everything is cool.....In the evenings when I leave from work to go home I rarely notice it happening every once in a while but every morning this happens.

I never realized that low brake fluid could cause it? I thought that the light was only for your e-brake which is mechanical? so I figured I might have an issue with that? Interesting find..... I am going to check my fluid tonight before I head home and see?

brake lite

Dude, your fluid level should be just under the full line not "just over the min line". This is your problem. Would you run your oil level just under the min line? Did not think so.
