Front end

I hear a knocking noise sometimes, randomly.
Sometimes while turning, sometimes when the steering is straight.

It does is once in a while.
Nothing effects the performance.

I took the car for allignment, tire rotation, tire balancing, checked the air and did many things.
Sears and a few other auto shops checked the wheel bearings, CV point, bolts, suspension and steering parts.
They all look good, no damage or nothing is loose.

The noise comes from the left and right and sometimes from the front center.

I am planning to change the springs or coilovers.
Do you have any idea what this noise could be?

I took the spare tire, its cover, jack and every single extra piece out. There is nothing in the car to rattle or make noise.

None of the shops had an idea or solution so far.

I need some help if you experienced such thing.
Thank you

I get a clunk noise randomly from the front, especially the driver side ... especially when it is very cold outside. I am under the assumption that it is just suspension parts occassionally setting in to adjust for the rapid change in temperatures ... as it is impossible to recreate after it happens once.

cool

at least I am not the only one )
So far, there is no difference in handling or anything else.

I will look into this, otherwise I may get TEIN Springs or cheap coilovers.

Have a good day

That's funny, I'm searching this forum for problems like this and I've already found a few.... Seems like everyone's getting this clunking noise and can't find anything wrong... Some people have considered it normal with coilovers, the thing too is that it's not just one particular type, there's a few... What type are you running anyway, I have Zeal V6's and not too long after I intalled them the noises started to happen... Good luck...

u got it

I am spending my all day to get to 50.
I am almost 40 :))

So I can post in the wtb, wtt, fs sections :)

I need to mod the car, so I need to sell stock parts and look for other parts.
So I figured out to ask all the question I need at once and get it over.

You are right, and great observation.
However, I am also reading through many other things, and learning
Which is a pretty good deal

I have been studying all the service manual pages and details. So I can do most of the mods myself. This website is pretty good.

Thank you
