rear camber kit

anybody know where i can get a rear camber kit for the EVO IX MR? i just dropped the car with BC racing specs, but i cant get the alignment right in the rear because of camber issues. do they make rear camber kits? and something to allow toe adjustments in the rear? thanks

Okay the rear is 100% factory adjustable within quite a range so one of two things has happened.

1. You are too low and now cant get it back to where you want it

2. You are not low enough and cant get it to the spec you want.

What range are you aiming to get? Currently on my car at my level of ride height (fender RIGHT on the tire, no exact measurements for you tonight) I have a range of 1.9* negative camber at the minimum (at least matching each side) and -.07* toe minimum. As far as the max, initial camber was -3.0 negative and toe was actually really close to spec (this is pre alignment, post drop).

As you can see to properly answer this question, anyone that can help you needs to know more of whats going on.

the car is dropped pretty low, and when we were doing the alignment they said it seemed like it could be adjusted more, but the bolts weren't turning all the way. right now the rear camber is set at -1.5 and toe at .16 we had to put camber that high to get the toe within stock spec. the negative on the rear can go to -3 stock? are you sure?

Your problem is that the rear is too low. I know people have flipped the camber eccentric bolt upside down and it gives a greater rane of adjustment to take out the camber.

Mine is pretty low and I had no problem getting -1.3 camber and zero toe, so your car must be sLaMMed Yo!

The rear suspension is multi-link: upper A arm, two lateral, and one trailiing link. It's not a Chapman strut so the spring/damper assembly provides no location and thus can't directly affect the camber, hence no rear camber plates.

The rear has a good deal of camber gain in bump. I had Espilir ASD springs at one time which put the rear pretty low. The drop took the car from about -1.2 to -2.5! The NTB gnomes were able to get it back to -1.5 with 0 toe. A little more than I wanted, but really not too much, even for the street. I hate to admit it, but I went with cheap, shiney, purple coilovers to get back to a reasonable ride height and rear camber with a spring rate that's fun for casual track use.

The -3.0 was after my car was lowered. It is just barely tucking the tire in the rear. The factory ride height + cams is not adjustable to -3.0, thats why I asked what your ride height is now. What spec are you trying to achieve?

My rear tires are tucked into the fender slightly. I have -1.25 camber with a slight bit of toe out. Everything is stock.

If you guys are just trying to run a bit of toe in and are running out of range get the whitline bump steer correction kit KCA388

Link? I couldnt find it on their website. I found the pillowball mount but no mention of a rear camber plate.

You can have a solid pillowball mount for the rear, but a camber plate would be impossible. The rear of the evo has a shock, not a strut, it's location and prescense has no effect on wheel geometry.

Got pics? I would like to see some more info on this flipping the cam bolts around before I waste my life doing it (though I'd probably waste it anyway).

i didn't read any of the responses but you SHOULD not need any more camber adjustment. the factory eccentric has plenty of range.... esp. by the looks of your pics, the car def. isn't too low.
