Same problem. I had probably about 30k before I replaced them. However, I started noticing decreasing performance within about 10 to 15k. I put miles on my car quickly. I live in Denver, CO. We have had major, and I mean big time construction on my regular routes. So many bumps and holes to drive through. I was lucky to find a wrecked evo with low miles, and picked up a fresh stock set up for $300.00 and free labor from a good friend.

I would never buy or recommend them. Coil overs will be my next step. I was so happy to feel my stock suspension again after that disaster.

Obviously if people cared they wouldn't buy them in the first place. Everyone knows what they do, but they don't care.

Everyone knows how to prevent cancer, but yet millions of people still smoke lol.

P.S. P.S. - After driving my car with coilovers, even my "cheap" "budget" "crap" (whatever you want to call them) Megan coilovers are leaps and bounds better than any lowering spring/stock or aftermarket damper car I have EVER driven, PERIOD. And I've driven a lot of cars with modified suspensions.

My buddy got Megan coilovers for his WRX and they feel/ride awesome. I'll probally still go with the Teins since i'm only getting them for $60, i'd like to get some real coilovers, but since I just bought a Tilton clutch/280s/cam gear/other crap, it might be awhile

Well for me it was a choice between picking up some used bilsteins (about 1000) and going back to stock springs, or the megans (I didn't have money for what I really wanted). So I got the Megans. I don't regret it one bit, and if they last me 15-20k miles I will feel I got my moneys worth.

The Megans would only last you 15-20k miles?

No, but IF they only last that long, I would still think I got my money's worth...

I've got 6k on them now, and they still feel great.

Why would they only last that long? I didn't think coil overs could wear out? Or atleast lasted longer than that.

Nevermind...

They'll probably last 50-100k miles. The point I'm trying to make is that they were a great deal, so if they don't last as long as some of the $4000 solutions out there, I don't care, I still got a good deal and great bang for the buck.

So how do you know you have blown shocks? Ive had Tein S Springs on the car for 40,000+ Miles and it drives the same as the first day I put them on.

I had tenzo springs with a 2.25 drop on a 04 civic and blew the suspension in half a year with around 7000 total miles driven, I now have TEIN basic coilovers and regardless of all the bashing I have seen going on about this brand they have served me well. Granted the hardest driving I do is some spirited road driving. But for my purposes they have been a worth while purchase. I plan to start participating in some events in my area and a set of full coilovers is in my future

Dude, it's obvious that you want the Tein S-Techs, so go get them. Blow out your shocks and then cry about it later when your ride quality goes down the $hitter.
