alignment of new suspension

I'm getting a set of KW's from Robi and am just wondering how long they should have the weight of the vehicle on them before taking it for an alignment. I don't want to put them on and get them set up the same day, if they are going to settle and hence change the alignment.

There shouldn't be any waiting time required. Usually once you drop it off the jack stands and back it out of the drive way is as much as it will settle. The specs on springs, especially coilover springs, doesn't allow for much.

There is always a little settling that will happen. Do this as reccomended by most manufacturers. Align car immediately afterpart installation. Drive for 30 days or 500 miles, CHECK alignment. Maybe its off from the original spec, maybe not. Mine was off a few tenths of a degree from where I had left it after 500 miles.

Have fun...You will really like the KW's. I wouldn't worry about the waiting...but talk to Robert about it..

Just installed and corner weighted mine today. Getting an alignment tomorrow. I was given these specs by someone else using them.

Camber: -3 front, -1 Rear

Toe: front 1/16 out, Rear: 1/16 in

1.5 inch drop all around (but this will vary w/ corner weighting)

Have a test N Tune and AutoX this weekend, and I can't wait!!!

Dumb question but what will this do to tire wear during normal driving conditions. I'm just tired of getting new tires every few months because the tires do not wear evenly.

-1 rear doesn't seem so drastic!

Well, i only drive my car once or twice a week or to and from events so, I can't really say.

The person that gave me these specs said he daily drives the car and has gotten 18,000 miles on his tires so far.

I ran -2 in front and -1.5 in the rear (zero toe) last year on Falken Azenis and the wear wasn't too bad (did 17 autox events and 2 track days on these tires). There is actually a bit of rubber left on them, but they have been heat cycled to death.
