Question Anti lock light is on

I did an HPDE event at Gingerman last weekend. I drove all day at the track without any issues. I let a good friend do 3-4 laps in the car. He brought the car in because he was having some fuel pickup issues. When I was driving back home after fueling up I noticed the the anti lock light would come on after a mile or two on the freeway. Does anyone know what the problem could be. Has anyone repaired this problem?

I have changed wheel sensors in other cars. My understanding of the Evo's electronic force distribution system (EBD) is that it uses G meters and steering wheel sensors in conjunction with wheel speed sensors. I don't seem to get any brake diagnostic trouble codes. That is, the anti lock light does not flash when the ignition is turned on without starting.

When I start the car the anti lock light is off. However, the ABS occassionally pulses when braking lightly. After a variable period of time the anti lock light will light and remain lit until I shut the car off. The false ABS events subside once the light comes on. This suggests to me that a wheel sensor is bad. Does this sound right?

you abs is broken... when the light comes on chances are the abs is disabled entirely.

Maybe some tire debris from the track is stuck to the sensor ring and giving a false signal every now and then?

If the ABS comes on during light braking, then you have probably chipped one of the teeth and it needs to be replaced. I had the same problem and had to go to the dealership to get it replaced.
