Tirerack: new SSR Type C-RS?

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Displ...racite+Painted

What's the difference between this new SSR type c-rs and the previous comp
and comp-h?? Also, are the comp & comp-h made differently now that Tanabe
acquired SSR?

Any pricing info for this Type C-RS for 17x8 or 17x9 Evo fitments

Thank you,

Yeah - very attractive wheel (weight & color); we'll have to wait for a 17x9" though

The Type-C RS wheels will give you a concaved look (gtr faced) with certain offsets. RS series are also lighter and stronger.

Thank you,
Nothing different except the paint (anthracite only) and name (type-c rs instead of comp h).

Competition = Type-C = one piece design, semi solid forged
Comp H = Type-C RS = two piece design, center is semi solid forged welded to forged barrel

The Type-C RS allows for wider fitments since its a two piece wheel while also making it internally stronger.

I'm sure Tire Racks prices will be close to what the regular Comps used to sell for. They list the 18x8.5 at $479 each.
