Brembo Breaks Squeaking (Merged)

When i'm breaking i hear a loud squeaking sound from my breaks.

My friend told me this is a common thing among brembo breaks and it does not mean i need new break pads. My car has 12k miles.

Is it true that brembo breaks usually squeak? i think i'm getting pretty close to needing to replace them soon anywys.

What does break pads for all 4 usually cost?

They can squek. My stock ones lasted till right around 30k. Prices vary as well. It just depends what you want. I went with Hawk HPS which I am very happy with. They cost about $200 totaled cost for the pads only. I would recommend pulling a wheel or two and take a look to see how much pad you have left.

Also the HPS have almost no brake dust unlike the Brembos

Mine squeel like hell and I only have 3k miles... I've taken the pads off to look at them and they're just fine. Maybe you should take a quick look, if you still have plenty of pad, try bedding them in... do a few hard brakes from 50mph or so (in an empty place with no cars, obviously) to try to get some brake material on the rotors. Let them cool for a while after you do this. This may or may not work, I've been told to try it and it's seemed to work for me..

My front Brembo pads hads no wear problems. My original rear Brembo pads lasted 28k but the bad part was the wear indicator on the pad did not function until it was backing pad-on-rotor.That was the worst noise from a car I've heard.Went with Hawk HPS and shims from the Brembos and have no squeal.

Noise is normal. Normal use pads will be good for over 25k no problem.

I only get squeak the first time i apply the brakes after starting up in the morning, after that they are noise free mostly.

Im getting a high pitch noise when braking at very low speeds (just about to stop speeds). and more prevalent during when braking + turning + low speeds (like when parking). This high pitch noise squeal length depended on the pressure I applied. The more pressure i apply, the shorter the squeal.

I always get a low pitches squeal when I'm just about to come to a stop and also when i'm going in reverse, they squeal. Pads look like they have a lot of life left.

Check to make sure you are not on the wear indicators.

They are a small steel tab that is designed to rub on the disk and make a high pitched squeal when the pad is to thin.

If they are touching, you need new pads.

Squeal Sqeal Squeal Squeal..

I have been reading a bunch and everything I do no change. Here is the problem. My brakes squeal really bad. Under light braking example slowing down for down to a stop sign or a traffic light it sounds like a train its SO BAD. I thought it was my pads so bought new Hawk HPS pads. installed them and the squeal is worse. I bed them in and used the shims.. Here is the shims I used any tips would be really helpful.. Thanks everyone.
