it will be close in the rear. the trailing arm come to the hub at an angle so the smaller diameter
the wheel the worse the clearance is.

I might need a small spacer on the rears as well.

Well I just put on the 17 x 10's (25mm) with new 710's on them.

Low and behold, front and rear fit with NO spacers and No fender rolling!
I think the 25mm offset was correct because it pushed everything out
away from the trailing arms and the springs.

Now for the real test: On Sunday I'll take them out for a 20 minute heat cycle
session on the turnpike and do a few hard turns to see what happens.

I suspect there might be a little rubbing from the fenders on the outside of the tires.
If that's the case maybe I could just raise the car 1/2" - 3/4" with my coilovers.

what kind of camber setting are you running?coilover set up?i run 17x9 also with 275 ra1's for autox and have been looking into getting a set of 9.5 or 10 on 17's like the fno1's.definitely post pics also when you get a chance.

Just thought I should add that wheel width vs tyre size should be referred to the manufacturer. There's usually a range you could run, but there's often one that is 'optimum'. Yoko's tend to be skinnier than say Bridgestone so you can probably run 0.5" narrower for the same tyre. A 275 of one brand can be quite noticable wider than another. It's strange.

i didn't realize you were running exactly what i'm running, i have 17x9's, that i had 255's on. (ra-1's)

I ordered 275's, and those will be going on. Did you ever test the wheels (17x9) without the spacers? I didn't think i'd need spacers at all.

Keep me in touch man, and i'll see ya up here in a few weeks

I'm currently running -1.5 r and -2.0 f for street, then at the track I adjust camber
plates (Tein Flex) and get -3.0 in front.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

It's been about a year, but if I remember correctly the 275's were touching
my springs up front. So the (small) 5mm spacer was all that we needed.
Also we added 3mm longer studs up front.

See ya soon, can't wait for Robi to apply his magic touch!

I took some pics and they are in "My Pictures" in my computer.
How do I post them?

Step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.

hit reply, and you'll get the reply page (not the quick reply on the bottom)

Then down below on the page, theres a button named "Manage Attachments"

click that and find your file, upload, and submit the message.
