i have enkei rpf1s 17X9.5 with 38mm offset (fits perfect in the back) and you have to run spacers in the front (which i have) ....thats one of the few wheels i know of that function well and fit without too much work in 17X9.5s....there are some volks and maybe it a few others.....most are 35mm offset or low like 22mm..

no i didn't cuz i know of no threads that exist on such a topic.

also... i'm looking for this EXACT size... evodave is right... most come in +35 +38 and +22 or other such sizes... a 9.5 wheel with a +30 offset is almost unheard of. that is why i ask.

work wheels are suppose to come in some funny sizes... but no avail.

i know that racing hart cp035 can be MADE in that size... but then again ccw and other such custom size manufacturers can do that too.

i'm looking for a mass production wheel that is made in this size.

I just ordered the 5Zig FNO1R-C in 17 x 10 with 25mm offset.

I have the same rims on the car now in 17 x 9 (35mm) and use 5mm
spacers up front.

I'll let you know what happens when we install the 10's next week.

trinydex,
is it your considered opinion that 30mm offset is the best? The reason I ask, I am putting together some specs for some custom made wheels. 17 x 9.5 sounds to be the most accommodating.

btw, there was a post about a year ago that listed all the measurements needed for an evo wheel. anyone know where it is? pad height, caliper measurements etc.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I just put on the 17 x 10's (25mm) with new 710's (275's) on them.

Low and behold, front and rear fit with NO spacers and No fender rolling!
I think the 25mm offset was correct because it pushed everything out
away from the trailing arms and the springs.

Now for the real test: On Sunday I'll take them out for a 20 minute heat cycle
session on the turnpike and do a few hard turns to see what happens.

I suspect there might be a little rubbing from the fenders on the outside of the tires.
If that's the case maybe I could just raise the car 1/2" - 3/4" with my coilovers.

Can you post some pics of your car on 17x10's and the 275 v710's? and what suspension are your running? can you tell me the measurement from the ground to the top of the wheel arch along the centerline of the wheel? I want to do this, but want to make sure it will work on my car at the height I have.

it all depends on the design of that particular wheel. If the spokes are thin and curves outward from center bore, you might have a winner.

ultimately it's about what the design of the particular wheel is. but here's my reasoning. the closes thing you can get to perfect is the 18x9.5 fn01rc. if you put a 275 on there and shave your fenders properly... there is no rubbing. the 275 is likely a little stretched and in extreme cases you might run into a bit of control arm polishing.

so... waht can you do? give it another 5mm and shave the fender bald... and if need be, lip it a little bit. then you have a perfect fit. problem is i want to run 17s.

another saving grace may be that the extra sidewall of the 17" tire might just allow for more clearence, if it curves inward for more trapezoidal shape.

i don't know... this setup would not be for the light hearted of course as fender work is mandatory and might even get extreme. but we got people desperate enough to run x10... just to try and get something that fits... someone's gotta throw us a bone here... the evo is the new supra... yet no one is making the right wheels for it.

Pics are coming tomorrow. The measurement you requested is 21 3/4 ".
