weird brake wear

While rotating my tires, I checked the pad life on my brakes. I've heard some squaking as of late, so I thought I'd give them a once over.

Rotors are glass smooth. Fronts have about 1/8"+ left on the pads. So does the left rear. But the right rear is almost gone! I could get a 0.022" feeler between the rotor and wear tab, but it's obviously much worse off than the others.

I have never heard of a rear brake going before a front. Obviously I need to replace the pads, but I'd like to solve the problem so it won't happen again.

The only thing that comes to mind is the parking brake dragging. It did not look stuck, but I will check it out again later this week.

Any other thought or ideas?

I have 30k on my car.

Thanks,
AC

Now that you mention it like that, it did seem like that pad was very close to touching the "rust" part of the rotor (inner area, not the stopping part of it).

I assume this is bad? What do I do about it?
