I would cross the Tein Basic off your list, it doesn't offer much if your looking to Auto-X.

This is exactly my point. Everyone raves about how certain springs firmed up their ride or made it less jarring and everyone (including the vendors they bought them from) all rejoice saying how they agree how great the product is, then someone gets bargain coil overs and they're all quick to say how crappy they are and shoulda bought $4000 coil overs, meanwhile the $250 spring owners did the right thing...its all very confusing.

For the price springs can be a great deal but by the time you work in camber plates and pillowball mounts to get some additional adjustment then the coilovers seem like a better deal to me.

Especially for the non MR people that just have the factory KYBs. Just like every single car I've ever ridden in that had any type of KYB, they have way too much high speed compression dampening.
Now if you already have bilsteins that's another story.......
