NHRA Roll Cages(Any Interest?)

Guys, we are considering selling our NHRA legal roll cages to the public. In the past we have always done them on customer cars here at the shop, but we were wondering if there was a demand for these accross the country. More and more people are going faster and faster.

So there has to be a need for inexpensive cage work to make you legal at the track. The unique thing about our roll bars are that they are completely removeable. So when you want to take the family for a trip or resale the car you can easily remove these. Here is a few specs off what we are considering working with.

4130 Chromoloy tubing
1 3/4" thick tubing
Completely NHRA Legal
Fully Tig Welded
Removeable Design
1/2" Plates
5pt Roll Bar
Removeable Driver Bar
Good Fitment for Rear Passengers
Harness Mounting Points
legal spec hardware

I know custom chromology cage work can range anywhere from $2500-$10000 depending on what you get done. On top of that you must leave your car at the shop for 2-6 weeks to get everything done. This is why we are considering selling our kit that could be bolted-on within a day in your driveway. We would of course sell these kits at reasonable prices and pass the savings along to the EVOM community .

Here are a few pics to peak some interest

Ya, I mean if it's legal, affordable and removeable. You basically can't loose out on it.

It would be awesome if you could make the part around the drivers head removable for daily driving without helmet and still keep it legal. I know a few fast people who won't track there cars because they dont want the permanent rollcage and risks involved.

Ya, I daily drove this car with the cage. I just used really thick padding for the bars. It worked great. You could also just remove and reinstall for track days.

Last time I ran at the track I pulled a 11.53, so I am looking into this for next season. Car is temporarily back in "daily driver" mode, so I will not be doing any more drag strip runs this year, but I would be interested in the future. How close would the drivers head be to the main hoop for those of us who would still be driving on the street? I don't want anything I would crack my skull open on if not wearing my helmet.

Also, you said the drivers door bar is removeable.... how about passenger side? My wife would NOT be pleased to be climbing over a bar to get into the car

Yes, it is fully removeable. The rear upper bar is FAR away from the drivers head. Even with the seat in the fartheset rear position it still won't come in contact with your head if you crashed. I would also recommend covering the bars with padding for extra insurance. We have to make it this way for safety and also to fit the seats properly. I will work on some more pics of the front bar that is removeable.

Trust me the price will be right. I would probably need 5-10 people to put these into production, etc.
