Boring the center of a wheel...

A buddy of mine is giving me a set of wheels that are 18x8, 35mm offset with 5x114 bolt pattern, but it so happens the hubcentric bore is smaller than the Evo's. Is it possible to bore the center of the wheel to fit? Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance for any info or similar experience you care to share.

The Toyota mini-truck guys do it all the time to IS300 wheels. I'd just take a wheel around to your local machine shops and see who wants to take the job.
