What Coilovers to get?
Keep in mind you will have to put a side money for install/corner weighting/alignment. If you only have a maximum of $1600 to spend for all of this including your coilovers, shoot me a PM.
BTW many of my customers say the Megan Track set (12k/10k) rides better than S-Tech springs on OE struts. However, the Megan Streets (8k/6k) ride real nice and are about twice the spring rate of OE.
For $1600...buy the rear sway and save the rest until you can spend more. Do it right the first time and of course like Zeus said, you'll need the extra to get them properly setup.
IMO...call RRE or Robispec and spend the cash right...the first time.

Is the dampning on all EVO 8 coilovers adjustable on the bottom? and is there a manufacturer that has a set for the evo that is adjustable under the hood (aside from in cabin control like EDFC)
The Megans adjust at the top... the bound/rebound dampening is not independently adjustable. Then again, at less than $1k, and no complaints from my SCCA customers, I think they have it covered for Average Joe. Now Race Car Joe should already be looking and the higher end $5k and up KW/DMS/Ohlins/Motons...

Good coilovers are only a part of the picture. Tires will be extremely important as well as a good setup, bushings and the right sway bar.
Had my first track day at Miller Motorsports Park full track yesterday and I was very happy with my Megan Racing Track coilovers. Combine them with a nice rear swaybar and you can have a very nice handling car that is very neutral.
